Visit to National Automobile Museum

Saturday, May 29th

Join us in a fun day of driving up to Reno, going most of the way via Hwy’s 49 and 20 before going over the summit on I-80. We’ll meet up at Mel’s Diner in Auburn at 8:00 AM and depart at 9:00 AM. Our drive will be about 2 ½ hours so arrival at the museum will be around 11:30 AM. Have breakfast with us or show up in time to depart, your choice

Mel’s is located at 1730 Grass Valley Hwy in Auburn (I-80 exit 119B north). The National Automobile Museum is located at 10 S. Lake St Reno (I-80 exit 14 south).

If you have a digital walkie talkie , bring it along to stay in touch along the way.

We will be able to tour the museum to see all of the interesting vehicles on display. The collection contains a wide variety of vehicles covering decades of automotive history. Many of the vehicles were part of the massive collection of casino magnate, Bill Harrah.

After our tour, you’re on your own to enjoy more of the museum, enjoy some of Reno’s other offerings and a trip to Summit Racing before we head back down the hill.
